Hi Everyone,

Join us at our new location, Max Technical Training in Mason, tonight
at 6:30pm. Here are directions:

Long-time CPG council member Joe Wirtley will be discussing caching
in ASP.NET, something I wish more ASP-driven sites I use would
implement...
Caching has been part of ASP.NET since its inception. Pages, page
fragments, and arbitrary data elements can all be cached to increase
performance. This session will go beyond the basics to demonstrate
caching in a real web application. We will show how to use post-cache
substitution in a real application (to display more than the current
time like most demos!). The presentation will show how to cache pages
based on a custom attribute for the logged in user. Lastly, we will
show one way to design a business tier to take advantage of data
caching while remaining loosely coupled to the UI.

Joe Wirtley is an independent consultant with twenty years software
development experience. He currently works as a .NET architect
anddeveloper on both smart client (WPF, WCF) and web (ASP.NET)
applications. Before .NET, Joe worked extensively in Delphi and
Clipper. He has been a frequent user group presenter in southwest
Ohio. Joe has been a long time member of the Cincinnati Programmers'
Guild, and has served as a councilor for several years. You can read
his blog at http://joewirtley.blogspot.com/ and see his personal site
at http://www.wirtley.net

Thank You,
Troy
